There are good witches, bad witches and witches with resplendent wardrobes. In photographer Txema Yeste’s Numero China editorial titled “Spellbound”, model Nimue Smit embodies the latter, in being the fiercest of them all with Rick Owens, Rochas and Chanel at her command. Yeste’s potent use of pulsing reds, as well as the way he drenches the compositions with light and shadow, make for an intoxicating fashion fable not easily forgotten.

In a world where fashion is truly fantasy, young filmmaker Dustin Lynn travails the luxurious textures of Alexander McQueen’s latest collection in a short film titled “Obscure Desires”. At once seductive, dreamy and crisp, he captures the details of the enchanting garments that make McQueen McQueen for a film series titled “The Film Project” for the launch of Selfridges Women’s Designer Galleries. The entire collection, featuring films by other directors for Comme des Garçons, A.F. Vandervorst, Dries Van Noten, Gareth Pugh, Ann Demeulemeester, and Rick Owens, can be viewed at:
