Prada, A Therapy, Roman Polanski, Cannes International Film Festival, Ben Kingsley, Helena Bonham Carter

Prada has had an epic 2012, particularly with the Met’s Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations in New York. Add to this a collaboration on short film titled “A Therapy” by Roman Polanski, which recently premiered to great acclaim at the Cannes International Film Festival. The films’s storyline glimpses the world of luxury fashion (and it’s stereotypes), involving 3 characters: a psychoanalyst (Ben Kingsley), a patient (Helena Bonham Carter), and one very luxurious, purple fur coat (Prada).

“The chance to dwell on what the fashion world represents nowadays and the fact that it is accompanied by so many stereotypes is fascinating and at the same time a bit upsetting, but you definitely can not ignore it. It’s very refreshing to know that there are still places open to irony and wit and, for sure, Prada is one of them.” – Roman Polanski
